	D-A Lubricant Company, Inc. Getting Started (part 2) HOW TO MAKE SELECTIONS The first screen you will see after log-on is the Main Menu. From here all other areas of CLS DataLink can be accessed either by clicking on the name of where you want to go or by using the drop-down menu from the menu bar. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS ON MAKING SELECTIONS: BOX or CHECKED BOX. If a check appears in the box, this item is selected. If the box has a check and you do not want that information, left click on the check mark and it will go away – and that information will not be reported. Clicking in the box will bring the check back if you change your mind. DROP DOWN WINDOW. This looks like a box with words in it. At the end of this area there is a different colored square with a downward pointing triangle. If you click on the visible words or the downward pointing triangle, a group of items to select will appear. Place your mouse icon on the item you want to select and left click on the words. These words will now appear as your selection, and this is the information that will be shown. In some of these boxes, after you left click on the box, the list that appears has a sliding bar at the side. Left click on the sliding bar and drag it up or down to view the choices appropriate to your fleet. DATE BOXES: For example, the words “Date Sample Taken:” appear to the left of a box. You must click on the “calendar” icon to the right of the box to select a beginning date – and then do the same for the end date. The results will be inclusive of the dates you have chosen. If you do not choose start and end dates, your entire database will be reviewed. This may cause problems if you have a large database and a slow modem. UNIT NUMBER: This is a box where you must type in the information. Please be careful because this must be an exact match. HINT: The more specific your selections are, the more likely you will get the information you are trying to find. HOW TO MAKE SELECTIONS
